Pauline Renard Gallery

Sector Inception

Presentation of the gallery

Founded in 2025, Galerie Pauline Renard is anchored in the heart of Lille's oldest district, within easy reach of Paris, Brussels and Luxembourg.

A place of encounters, emotions and connections, the gallery brings together established and emerging artists, creating unexpected exchanges where the public and collectors are invited to take the time to look and reflect.

After a decisive internship, Pauline Renard spent eight years honing her skills as director and then associate of a contemporary art gallery, before charting her own course. Her story places the artist at the center, her role being "to act as a link between the artist, the public and the collector". She is committed to providing the best possible support for artists and encouraging intergenerational encounters to create a true artistic family.

The gallery offers solo, duo and group exhibitions, as well as conferences designed to explore the artists' research.

Présentation du projet

For my first participation in Drawing Now 2026, I'd like to propose a dialogue between Julien Gorgeart and the duo Martinet & Texereau. All three share a deep concern for the mundane, the intimate, everyday images that make up our lives and that we look at without seeing them, until they suddenly capture our attention.Gorgeart draws on personal or found photographs, recomposing fragments of memory: faded faces, fleeting lights, suspended moments. Her work questions time, oblivion and the hidden side of images.
Martinet & Texereau have been drawing with four hands since 2008. Their patient gaze focuses on ordinary places and objects: doors, windows, facades, which they transform into silent, evocative spaces.
This dialogue brings together two approaches to the everyday: Gorgeart's memory painting and the duo's meticulous drawing. I'd like this encounter to invite the public to slow down, to revisit what we no longer see: rooms, sheets, lights, discreet gestures. A space for contemplation, memory and mystery.
