The gallery
By Lara Sedbon is a contemporary art gallery founded by Lara Sedbon, after more than fifteen years' experience in the international art market (deputy director of Art Plural Gallery in Singapore, then director at Galerie Templon in Paris). On the strength of this experience, she has rethought the role of the gallery, giving priority to a close relationship with artists, and to customized, long-term support.
A graduate of ESSEC and EHESS, with a degree in philosophy from the Sorbonne, Lara Sedbon has developed a resolutely transdisciplinary approach, in which reflection on meaning and ideas is at the heart of the artistic process.
The gallery collaborates with a network of international players - galleries, art critics, architects and institutions - to support its artists and inscribe their practices in a global dynamic that is both demanding and open to the world.
Featured artist
For Drawing Now Paris 2026, we're devoting a special focus to Adrien Belgrand, whose paintings explore suspended landscapes and scenes between reality and fiction. His work is based on often pre-constructed images, which he then transposes into a slow, meticulous pictorial time. This tension between the rapid circulation of images and the temporality of the studio gives rise to enigmatic compositions, bathed in sunlight and open to an unresolved narrative.
Well-known for his large-format acrylic paintings, in which superimpositions create depth and precision, the artist is presenting a series of gouaches on canvas, marking a major technical shift. Gouache, with its matte finish and covering power, establishes a more direct relationship between form and color, with a more frontal presence of the image. The gesture is more visible, the flat tints more assertive, reinforcing the drawing dimension within the painting.
