Testimonials

"For our first participation at Drawing Now, we chose to present a solo show by Senegalese-born artist Mamadou Cissé, who uses felt-tip and pen to draw imaginary cities, utopias of this self-taught artist who has long been collected by the Fondation Cartier and the Fondation Bic, among others. We sold almost all the works to new contacts we made at the fair, to private collections and foundations, notably a Berlin-based foundation specializing in architectural drawings.

"This year has been exceptional for me: collectors have not only been enthusiastic, passionate and moved, as always, but they've also been efficient in their support of the two wonderful artists I'm presenting - both for the first time at DRAWING NOW PARIS. And as the Process sector would have it, they both pushed the boundaries of drawing, Orianne Castel beyond the grid, and Violaine Lochu beyond performance. Thank you to the artists, the drawing lovers and the whole DRAWING NOW PARIS team!"

Barbara Polla, Analix Forever

"Drawing Now is a major event that brings together the main players in the world of drawing. It has established itself as an essential reference for enthusiasts of works on paper who converge on Paris from various parts of the globe to celebrate contemporary drawing."

Ingrid Van Hecke, Husk Gallery

"Despite some understandable hesitation, this year, those who like it have let themselves be convinced; perhaps they're tired of waiting. By repeating that it's not the right time, the right time never comes. Everything we want is on the other side of fear.

Eric Dupont, Eric Dupont Gallery

"It was a very good edition for us this year. Great success for Alice Gauthier, for whom we sold over fifteen works. Nicolas Dhervillers attracted a great deal of interest, with several pieces sold at this stage, and a number of proposals underway for larger pieces. For Eva Medin, interest is also in progress, and a good appeal for the artist's solo exhibition at the gallery promises future transactions. Works sold ranged from €1,000 to €6,000. Thank you for a great edition!

Elsa Paradol, Dilecta

"Drawing Now is holding up well in difficult times. Although it seems to be a little less well attended than in previous years, sales are still very good. I consider Drawing Now to be the most important fair for contemporary drawing and I'm always delighted to take part."

Martin Kudlek, Martin Kudlek Gallery

"With over twenty works sold, Drawing Now once again demonstrates Parisian collectors' interest in drawing. The friendly, human-scale show features a mix of emerging and established French and international artists. It's a great opportunity for us to highlight a practice that is often essential to our artists, such as Oda Jaune, the subject of our focus, for whom watercolor is the matrix of all her work.

Anne-Claudie Coric, Templon

"We are delighted with our third participation at Drawing Now. We are fortunate to be showing only recent works by Fabien Mérelle, Andrea Mastrovito, a focus artist who has designed a booth to present her lightboxes for her Playboy series, and Robin Wen. This selection of works was a great success with the many visitors who stopped by our booth, and led to some interesting discussions. Visitors are curious and passionate. The atmosphere was upbeat all week, thanks in no small part to the professional and attentive fair team."

Véronique Huttman, Wilde

"The 18th edition of the show was well attended by collectors and professionals alike, and always attracts a large public and new buyers. Gaelle Chotard gained a high profile and made several acquisitions, while Raphaëlle Peria and her photographs scratched before her exhibition in May were particularly successful.

Marion Papillon, Papillon Gallery

"The fair was very dynamic, and we are delighted with our second participation, thanks to the presence of many highly motivated collectors and new enthusiasts, as well as the presence of numerous French and foreign institutional leaders.

Nathalie Obadia, Galerie Nathalie Obadia Paris/Bruxelles

"Despite an uncertain economic climate, Drawing Now 2025, which took place in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere, was able to bring together a wide range of desires. A large and varied public flocked to the show every day, giving in to their temptations. As in previous years, our presence was enthusiastically welcomed by all those who attended. New enthusiasts came to meet us, and the loyalty of those we met in previous years was confirmed.

Avélino Abarca, Galerie Alain Gutharc

"After a rather quiet start, the fair was very conclusive. Several drawings by Nina Mae Fowler (artist focus) sold, including the large format and several small formats from the series exhibited on the booth. All the artists presented (6) were sold. For this edition, we chose to show emerging artists on part of the booth, which aroused the interest of public and private collections; for the gallery, it was a successful edition despite a gloomy context."
