Presentation of the gallery
The AZIYADÉ gallery: an art space in a home.
Created in 2024, the gallery organizes four exhibitions a year. Each exhibition features a new scenography in terms of hanging, furniture and objects. It is in this lively, inhabited universe that an artistic line is developed, mainly oriented towards abstraction and Textile art.
Constrained by the seasonal nature of their island location, gallery founders Géraldine PROMPT and Denys de VAUBLANC are diversifying their exhibition venues with "hors-les-murs" collaborations: Lyon and Nantes in 2025, Paris in 2026.
Permanent artists:
Catherine DANOU, Christel DIENER, Françoise PARESSANT, Vincent RICHARD de LATOUR, Michaël SCHOUFLIKIR, Olivier ROCHEAU
Présentation du projet
Catherine DANOU and Vincent RICHARD de LATOUR's works, brought together by common bodies of work at the frontier of Art and Textile, refer to their history, personal and professional heritage, memories and the ties that bind them.
In a restitution approach, the weft, the structure, is present in support of tears, repairs by sewing, gluing or weaving.
While gestural repetition is the hallmark of their artistic protocol, it is in the diversity of nuances, forms and subtle variations that their singularity lies.
For DRAWING NOW 2026, we're offering three murals in sizes ranging from 30 x 30 cm to a maximum of 80 x 120 cm, with a predominance of small formats.
The two artists will work on the following series:
"Strate" and "Paysage tissé" for Vincent RICHARD de LATOUR
"Écriture silencieuse" and "Mur...Murs" for Catherine DANOU
