Présentation de l'artiste en focus

Known for his vibrant, layered paintings, Juan Uslé (b. 1954, Santander) will be featured as a "Focus Artist" at Drawing Now Art Fair, to underline the essential place of drawing in his practice and echo the retrospective devoted to him by the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid from November 25, 2025 to April 20, 2026. Made in ink, graphite or watercolor, his drawings anticipate the pulse of his paintings. In his drawings, Uslé establishes an immediate relationship with line and gesture, where each paper, through repetition and variation, becomes a space for reflection and poetic intensity.
