Presentation of the gallery

Galerie Antoine Dupin, opened in 2022 in Saint-Méloir-des-Ondes, near Cancale, enjoys a privileged location on the road to Mont-Saint-Michel, close to Saint-Malo, Dinard and Saint-Briac, and less than an hour from Rennes. Housed in a former farmhouse, the exhibition space features exposed beams and high ceilings to showcase the works on display. Traditional stonework, rammed-earth floors and an ancient structure combine with a resolutely contemporary program.
Galerie Antoine Dupin aims to establish a long-term presence in the region, and to become a key player in contemporary art in Brittany. Thanks to an exacting selection of artists and works, it offers exhibitions by artists recognized on the national and international scene, while supporting the development of emerging talents, thus affirming its commitment to contemporary creation.

LE ROYAUME PAGURES
In Le Royaume Pagures, Elsa Guillaume develops a series of drawings inspired by the marine world. In them, she depicts pagures, the vernacular name for hermit crabs, crustaceans known to change shell as they grow. Produced aboard the container ship Le Marius, these works are glued drawings on folded, inked sheets, which sometimes contain a larger drawing that will remain permanently hidden. The series depicts the paddlers, portrayed as little knights of the seas, as they explore the seabed. The mysterious odyssey of these characters touches on notions of transformation, but also and above all survival and the search for shelter in the context of a permanent migration, while raising awareness of the need to protect marine ecosystems.
