Présentation de l'artiste en focus

Espace a Vendre has chosen the A4, a modest, universal format. To celebrate its twentieth anniversary, the gallery is offering to allinvited artists this unique format, a common space where every gesture and every idea can unfold withintensity. As with Thierry Lagalla, present since the gallery's beginnings, this common surface becomes a space forthought and humor, a field of exploration where the simplest gesture reveals the complexity of the world. The
trivial format par excellence, whose dimensions, through photocopying and printing, have become engraved in
our collective memory, the A4 is for him a way of inhabiting reality through drawing. This format, so often usedby the artist, will serve as the common thread running through the exhibition, uniting the artists' gestures and gazes around thissame familiar surface. In it, he finds the ideal place for a continuous quest, where everything can become form, sign or game.
In this light-hearted yet profound practice, everyday life is transformed into a poetic and reflective space.
Even reduced to its most modest dimensions, this format concentrates within itself all the force and intensity of a
work, capable of unfolding an entire world in just a few square centimetres.
