Présentation du projet

Duo show - established and emerging artists - dialogue between drawing and photography - cross-exploration of ruins and minerals, built and natural heritage, traces of our humanity.

The hybrid work of Guénaëlle de Carbonnières (1986) deploys a variety of processes, combining archives, historical photography, engraving and drawing. Exploring themes of archaeology and common heritage, her works question our relationship with history and memory. By superimposing gestures, the artist reconciles different temporalities through different strata of visibility. These works create a tension between surface and depth, latency and presence, figuration and abstraction.

Amélie Royer's drawings recount a silent wandering through subterranean landscapes, caves and cavities photographed during her speleological explorations. Echoing the malaise of a youth in search of marginal refuges, her work restores spaces of freedom, a parallel reality where we can breathe, rest, master of our time. In this total darkness, light digs into the matter of black and embodies an almost mystical presence.
