Presentation of the gallery
Founded in 2018 by Andrea Brunson, Espacio Andrea Brunson (EAB) began as an itinerant gallery, presenting short-term exhibitions in unused spaces throughout the city of Santiago. Since 2022, EAB has had a permanent space within the gallery circuit of Santiago’s uptown district, showcasing the work of national and international artists through a sustained program guided by a curatorial line that seeks balance between craftsmanship and conceptual depth in contemporary art.
EAB strives to be a space that accompanies artistic processes, fosters genuine connections, and opens conversations around artistic practice and the global art circuit. The gallery values teamwork and fluid communication between artist and institution, aiming to strengthen collaborative work and support the creative development of those who exhibit in our space.
Présentation du projet
“Apegos Ferices”the project to be exhibited emerges from a research-based inquiry into the transitional period between the abandonment and the eventual death of a place. These works consist of translucent images that reveal what once was and what now remains, where plays of light and shadow evoke a presence on the verge of disappearance. The recurring image of nature reclaiming a built structure becomes a constant in the face of permanent abandonment. It is a kind of struggle between life and death; an underlying theme that runs throughout the artist’s entire body of work.
