Presentation of the gallery

Founded in Paris by Claude Lemarié and Adeline Jeudy in 2007, Galerie LJ focuses on emerging graphic artists - painters, printmakers and sculptors - who offer a vision of our contemporary world through the prism of figuration and narrative.

Présentation du projet

Galerie LJ focuses on the singular work of Spanish-American visual artist Luján Pérez (b. 1991), at the crossroads of drawing, printmaking, painting and sculpture. As a trained printmaker, Luján questions her definition of terms related to printmaking techniques or the image intended for reproduction, and how the matrix could be appreciated as an autonomous and unique object. Her uniquely monochromatic artistic practice explores themes of love/couple, death, rebirth and belonging, in the form of monotypes and wooden wall installations that she engraves as she draws.
