DRAWING NOW l THE AWARD

In 2012, DRAWING NOW Award was awarded Clement Bagot, presented by Eric Dupont Gallery. 

For the third consecutive year, the DRAWING NOW Award is given to an artist aged under 50 and exhibited on Focus on the booth of one of the galleries. 

The artist is chosen by Fair's selection committee, managed by the fair artistic director Philippe Piguet, a collector, M. Nicolas Libert and the principal patron, M. Jean Papahn for SOFERIM. It is made of Alexandra Fau, Christian Bernard, Marc Donnadieu, Olivier Kaeppelin, Bernard Point, Nicolas Libert and Jean Papahn.

DRAWING NOW PARIS thereby seeks to support an artist and pay tribute to his/her gallery's work. The selected artist will receive 5000€ by the Endowment Fund for Contemporary Drawing supported by SOFERIM. The Fund, created in 2011 by Christine Phal President of DRAWING NOW PARIS l LE SALON DU DESSIN CONTEMPORAIN, designed to promote the development and influence of contemporary drawing and graphic works both in France and abroad. 

Faber-Castell, associated to DRAWING NOW Award since its inception, will offer to the artist a limited edition box Faber-Castell.

The DRAWING NOW Award 2013 has been given to Didier Rittener, represented by the galley Lange+Pult, booth A13.
